Devon-based gift company, Life’s Little Recipes, has announced the launch of a series of virtual E-cards, featuring a brand new 3D animated character. Unimole, a small friendly mole with a huge heart, is looking to spread happiness, connection and closeness via the new E-cards.
Fiona Thomas, founder of Life’s Little Recipes and creator of happy-go-lucky rainbow horn and tail adorned Unimole, believes in the positive power of spreading love and kind thoughts.
Through her online store, Fiona has already created a popular series of themed gifts or ‘Recipes’ for all occasions. Each bag, sent in the post, contains a unique selection of small gifts, or ‘ingredients’, attached to a thoughtful sentiment or theme written on a Recipe card.
Following the success of the Recipe bags, Fiona is now expanding her product line with the creation of the new Unimole E-cards. The 3D animated E-cards, created by Devon-based animation and video production company Pushed, can be sent quickly and easily online, due to another Devon-based company, Web Design and SEO Company Ltd. They currently include Happy Birthday, Congratulations and Good Luck messages, with more themes and unique cuddly characters due to be released soon.
“Unimole acts as an ambassador for goodness. Her presence is a reminder that we’re all beautiful, unique, and in need of comfort and reassurance. It’s not always easy to find the words to say how we’re feeling, but our new animated E-cards are a simple and reassuring way for people to reach out to others and remind them they are loved,” said Fiona Thomas, Founder at Life’s Little Recipes.
“I became very aware that our world, especially during lockdown, is one in which far too many people, especially children, miss out on the benefits that come from positive reinforcement and communication. Too many of us go from week-to-week without being told or realising how precious, special, and unique we are. I hope our new Unimole E-cards will encourage everyone, adults and children alike, to recognise, connect and share a virtual hug.”
As a psychotherapy counsellor and ex-cancer nurse, Fiona understands only too well how, even in the darkest of times, someone’s day can be transformed by being reminded that they are precious, cared for, and in the thoughts of friends and loved ones. The business evolved from the need to reach out, recognise, connect and tell someone they’re cared for and more recently Unimole was created to connect with all children and particularly those that are vulnerable.
Supported not only by animation and video production company Pushed, Fiona also credits her success to others on her team. These include her social media support team at Youbee Media, and freelance writer Chris McGuire who has penned a series of Unimole stories.
The free Unimole stories and colouring pages are also available to accompany the E-cards, which retail at £2.50 /£2.95 per card, can be found at: www.lifeslittlerecipes.co.uk
A proportion of sales from the E-cards will go to Brave, an organisation celebrating its first birthday this month, set up to support the mental health and wellbeing of parents who have children with complex medical needs.
